Buying original games in a 3rd world backwater is an expensive endeavour, and the fact that you can’t take two steps without a pirate (yar!) hawking fake console games in your face makes it difficult for even the most conscientious gamer to part with 3 grand for a copy of Final Fantasy XII. Fret not dear friends, your conscience and fears of an NBI crackdown need worry you no more!
Gamehopper is offering a veritable buffet of current and post gen games to whet even the biggest gamer appetite, for the affordable price of 599 pesos a month! I wish them the best of luck, although I can see a host of pitfalls awaiting this business venture, the most prominent being, what happens if all the copies of the game I want to rent are out of stock? Think about it, would you wait a month to play that game, or would you pass a wad of cash to a dirty, eye-patched individual?
Oh and uh, just a tip to the good people of gamestop, the site design and logo is so 1999. Just sayin’.
SilkRoad Online Coming to the Philippines

SilkRoad Online, an MMOG that is popular among the Filipino gamers is coming to the Philippines soon! This was officially announced by Level-Up, Inc. (netGames) during the recent Philippine Online Gaming Summit (POGS).
Road to Supremacy Champions

It was a stunning aftermath when the dust settled in the Level Up! Road to Supremacy at the Philippine Online Gaming Summit (POGS) last Saturday, January 13, 2007, held at the Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC). For the winners of Pangya PH Masters, Flyff Sudden Death, and Khan Bakbakhan, the road ended with a victorious and festive weekend.
The Pangya PH Masters Individual and Guild tournaments were swarmed by a good number of Pangsters as they cheered on their favorite finalists. Among the 25 individuals who qualified for the singles finals, Fumoffu broke through the strong performance by second and third placers, Cristymwah and mcdota. After the 35-minute time limit on the Ice Cannon course, Fumoffu ended the finals with a whopping score of -25 and was hailed as this year’s Pangya PH Master. For the guild tournament, first placer Leap Frog leaped over rival guilds Extreme Fire and Tomahawk Legendz and garnered an astounding score of 105 points. All winners received cash prizes, game cards, and in game items.

Sakray, Age of Hugel, will begin on January 17, 2007! Sakray will be on 10x EXP and 3x Drop during the initial stage.
However, the story doesn’t end there…
The noble warriors of Sakray have survived endless calamities that have repeatedly laid ruin to their world (Server Wipes). Despite this, they have been steadfast and they have repeatedly risen from the smoke and ruins to regain their foothold in their chosen home. Until this day, they have watched other realms battle it out for honor and glory and they could only remain as observers as decreed by the gods.
Now things have changed and the battle cries of Sakray will be silenced no more! Now the roar of Sakray WILL be heard in the final battle of RPC 2007! Now it’s time to find out who the real hardcore players are! Are you up to the challenge?
Sakray, Age of Hugel – The Beast Unleashed! (Sakray Siege Tournament to represent pRO Sakray Server for the very first time in the finals of RPC 2007!)
Initial Mechanics:
1. Sakray Season will last from January – April.
2. Agit Lords Tournament will be from March – April.
3. Level-up Employees will be forbidden from participating or even playing in the Sakray server, with the exception of official game testers. The list of testers will be posted to avoid confusion.
4. HyperMart will be active in Sakray.
5. Final Siege schedule will be announced within the week.

The Gold Castle Lord is from Guild Harabas, their castle leader: Asha` will be taking home a Maya Purple Card, 10pcs Enriched Eluniums, 10pcs Enriched Oridicon, a Symbol of Solar God, 200 Yggdrasilberry and 100 Red Envelopes.

1.) This is a siege event that all guilds can participate in. The major goal is to establish the highest Agit economy and Safeguard in his server till the last date of this Siege Series (January 29, 2007).
2.) There will however be a qualifying Economy and Safeguard points of: 60.
3.) Ties will be acknowledged but will only be awarded the consolation prize.
HOW TO WIN:
There are two way to win:
1. Be a Gold Castle Lord
- This winner has the highest Agit Economy “Server” wide.
2. Be a Silver Castle Lord
- This winner has the highest Agit Economy “Map” wide.
3. Consolation Winners
- These are winners whose Agit Economy and Safeguard points are both the highest for their map.
